This workshop is an introduction to the artist's approach to writing and designing for adult puppet theatre. The workshop also includes a short performance/ demonstration. Puppet theatre has been described as the 'symbolic language of the gods' the power and charm of lifeless objects existing in a liminal realm between reality and illusion. This workshop explores synergies with other arts as well as taboo in an under appreciated art form. In 2006 we are planning 4 weekend workshops in clowning, puppetry, storytelling and bouffon. These will take place in the Lake District, venue to be confirmed."No experience necessary. All courses highly suitable for artists from all disciplines interested in performance." We can help with accommodation etc if you are travelling from away. |
